As you wake up and as you go to sleep, what do you say to yourself and to God? There are so many competing thoughts to neutralize us or derail us every moment of our lives. We need God's Word to mentally keep us on track with God and to renew our minds. Choose a Scripture to stand on at this time in your life. Recite it first thing in the morning, even throughout the day, and then, last thing at night. The first word and the last word of our day is best when it is God's Word.

This can happen as we personally meet with God through Scripture, reflection, prayer, and answering thoughtful questions. This kind of meeting accelerates being transformed into the image of Jesus like nothing else. Each person shares how it is with their soul, their successes and struggles for that week, and how the Word and Spirit are speaking in their lives. Worship evokes powerful emotions, creates a sense of community, and helps participants connect to the holy. A worship meeting is a sign and means of the new creation launched through Jesus and his kingdom. New creation happens as we sing, pray, listen to Scripture, and experience Holy Communion. For the believer, worship is as necessary as breath is to life. God will lead you to the right gathering of believers whenever you ask. Just ask God to lead you to that right community.
