The meaning of life is a philosophical question that has been debated throughout history. Different religions and belief systems offer different answers, ranging from fulfilling a divine purpose to achieving inner peace and harmony.
As you read Scripture, you can see that humanity is created to to be in union with God as they take care of their responsibilities with wisdom and order, giving thanks to our wise and loving Creator, and honoring God with reverence and attention. It's impossible to do this on our own, so God sent his Son Jesus to rescue us from our helpless state and to bring us into union with God. We were created from the communion of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for communion with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and our fellow human beings. The meaning of life is for humanity to be a single worldwide family, the family of God, in union with God, as we properly handle our God-given responsibilities.
Religion typically refers to an organized system of beliefs, practices, and rituals associated with a particular faith or group. Spirituality, on the other hand, is a more individualized and personal experience of connecting with God. We need both. Religion gives us structure and Spirit gives us power. You can have a proper balance of both as you make the Lord and King of all creation, your Lord and King.
Prayer is a common practice in many religions and is often used as a way to communicate with God, seek guidance, or express gratitude. It can also be a way to connect with others in a community of faith and to find comfort and support during difficult times. The life of prayer is really about connecting with God which begins with a Jesus-centered life. We live 24/7/365 days a year meaning life never stops, has order, and divisions of time. The same is true of the life of prayer. In the life of prayer, structure and rhythm become the vehicle for the power of God in a person's life! It is through the life of prayer that we discover that heaven and earth meet, God is at home in our hearts, and that humanity is where new creation is present.
